Hi there! I meant to get this post up this past weekend but didn’t get to it. The Pat’s Run in Tempe was this weekend and I ran in it with my dad and what seemed like a million other’s! This was my first race and I loved it! It was early early but totally worth it! Nothing like the feeling of accomplishment while everyone else is sleeping in on a Saturday😉 (that’s me usually).
I’ve been loving the “off the shoulder” trend. This top is super comfy and can’t go wrong with black. You can wear with jeans and heels or booties to dress it up or dress it down like I did with some cut off shorts and sandals. I also love this shirt b/c being out here in the desert, light weight and simple is the key to comfort and staying cool!
These white cut off shorts have been a go to. I wear them ALL the time. Love the fit of Black Orchid Denim (linked a similar pair above). Can’t go wrong with cut offs/distressed denim!
Last but not least, this Chloe cross body was on my list for more than a year now and finally splurged a few months ago. I couldn’t resist! SO in love with grey and the cute saddle bag/boho style.
As alway’s, thanks for following along and have a splendid week! :P
Oh! It feels so great to be back on the blog! :) First off, I want to start by thanking SHOLDIT for this awesome multi-wear/multi-tasking scarf! What makes these scarves unique is the side zipper that fits all your favorite necessities and allows you to be hands free! What a smart concept right? I mean, how convenient for when you’re on the go, doing outdoor activities, at a sporting event, or simply for a fashion statement! I’m in love. As far as the outfit, I love a good loose fitting tee and yoga pants! Seriously my go to on the weekends.
As alway’s, thanks for following along! Have a great week!
OH how it feels good to be back on the blog! I’ve been MIA for too long! I’m also super late on posting these pics as they were taken earlier this summer. I recently moved to my happy place… Arizona, so things have been a little crazy lately getting situated and back into a routine, etc. Since moving to Arizona, it’s been HOT. It’s finally starting to get into the 80’s and 90’s which is a major relief compared to the 100+ degree weather we had all summer long. Although I’m late with this post, I still feel like this outfit applies out in this desert heat. I will confess it’s hard seeing all the fall boots, sweaters and jackets everyone is wearing right now though. There are definitely days I just want to wear those cozy fall outfits, but I know I will love the mild temps here in the winter and no SNOW! I’ll get my fix when I”m back for the holidays I’m sure.😉 Anyway’s I practically lived in dresses and still live in dresses here. They are super easy to just throw on. I like this casual one – you can easily dress it up or dress it down while still looking effortlessly chic – and who doesn’t love stripes?! :)
For fall in the desert, I plan on mixing in little fall touches here and there, such as shorts with long sleeved shirts in lighter materials, dresses with booties, etc. and of course lots and lots of neutrals … grey, tan, taupe, black and white❤.

Happy New Year! With the new year, comes the cold and SNOW! Perfect weather to bring out those Hunter Boots and Puffer Coats! As much as I love neutrals, I love some bright color in the winter to bring some cheer to some otherwise, gloomy days and I’m loving pops of RED. :) My go to neutral lately has been GREY, if you couldn’t tell😉. Thanks to my mom for snapping these photos while I was back home during the holidays. It was nice to be back home and have some much needed down time with family and friends. And of course, I LOVE my Teddy Bear and miss him dearly. I think these pics capture just that and how excited we were to spend some quality time together again. Not to mention – we like to match. Oh how I need a dog!
Hello all! It’s almost Christmas time! In case you are still looking to get a gift for that certain sports lover on your list or a gift for yourself, head on over to the MLB Hats section on Fanatics.com! They can help you out with all your game day needs! I chose to style the KC Royals baseball cap because one – I recently moved to KC this year and two – as you all know, they are pretty awesome and went to the World Series this year! :) I like to think it had something to do with the fact I moved here JK. I also picked out some additional items above to show you how to make your game day style look extra chic! On game days when everyone tends to look the same in their sports wear, it’s important to let your own personal style shine through too! Who said sports wear can’t be stylish?! In fact, athleisure has become quite the trend lately! Hope you all have a happy holiday and as always, thank you for reading!
Happy Sunday! Today’s post is another outfit worn while in NYC while my mom and I had a shopping day! Shopping in NYC is heaven (needless to say). We were both exhausted by the end of this day as we were up at the crack of dawn at 5:30am to go check out Good Morning America but it was well worth it. I seriously see why they call it the city that never sleeps! There is just so much to do and so little time. :)
About the outfit – This faux leather jacket and scarf I found at Zara there are my new faves! I actually planned on bringing a leather jacket with me that I had ordered online prior to this trip but it didn’t come soon enough, SO i ended up having to purchase one while in NYC. Darn. :) I wasn’t too mad about it since I found one I like even better. This jacket is my new fave and I’ve worn it non-stop since!
I’m also loving hats this fall! I think it added a bit of classic to an otherwise edgier outfit. I actually threw the hat on since there was no time for washing my hair before going to GMA. :) You’ve got to love hats for times like those.
Hi everyone! I wanted to post one of the days from when my family and I were in NYC last week. After all, what better place to take blog pictures than this lovely city! Everywhere you turn is an aesthetically pleasing view whether it be the architecture, culture or overall ambiance of the city that never sleeps! (Thanks to my wonderful mom for taking all these pics!!) We went sight seeing during the day, which included the Brooklyn Bridge where there are absolutely amazing views of Manhattan (seen in the pics above)- truly breathtaking! The weekend we were there also happened to be the weekend that Simply Stylist was having their event in New York. Once I found out this was going on the same weekend I jumped all over it. For those of you that don’t know what Simply Stylist is, it’s a networking event that brings together like minded people that love the fashion and beauty industry! Such a cool concept. I wish I had the time to go to some of the panels, but it was just neat to go around to the different booths and meet some entreprenuers and marketing professionals in the fashion and beauty industry as well as some fellow bloggers.
I just LOVE this city and can’t wait to go back! More outfit posts to come from my trip to NYC on the blog soon. <3
